COLLOCATIONS - 11

Mihir: You appear worried.
Arya: And why not, friend? Life is becoming more and more difficult day by day.(ఎందుకు కాదూ, రోజురోజుకూ జీవితం కష్టమైపోతోంది).
Mihir: What is the cause of your complaint?
Arya: Don't you see? Prices are soaring and no body seems to be bothered about it.
Mihir: Oh, that's what you mean. Yea, I've got to agree with you. There's been a steep rise in the prices of essential commodities.
Arya: That's mostly due to the escalation of petroleum prices. Our friend Nidhi, owning two petrol pumps, is quite happy whenever oil prices are hiked.(పెట్రోలియం ధరల పెరుగుదలే దానికి కారణం.
Mihir: The minute there is a talk in the air of petroleum prices going up, he puts up a 'no stock' board and hoards all the oil, to sell at a higher price when the new price is announced.
Arya: What a striking similarity between him and his brother Anant in appearance.
Mihir: As striking is the difference between the two in their nature and behaviour. Anant is quite gentle and helpful, whereas Nidhi is rather aggressive and is selfish.

Arya: That's true. OK. For a change of topic, when are you planning to leave for Chennai?
Mihir: I'll let you know.
